Managing Director WeylChem US
‘Achieving more’ is not only confined to the product, but also, for example, to our partnership with customers and the quality of our production in respect of health, safety, environment, and energy consumption. It also includes the acceptance of our work by the general public. We can’t limit our thinking only to matters such as short term profitability or the purity of our products, but must also address people’s concerns and worries.
Hence, ‘better chemistry’ is in my eyes a claim that includes everything we do. That is the only way we can distinguish ourselves from the competition over the long term. It is possible – with the right attitude and the willingness to approach things in a different way. My personal contribution is with new ideas that also consider the aspects of outside stakeholders. For example, the ISO 50001 certificate for our energy management with which we show: today we do a lot of things better than before, and also listen to society’s wishes.
