Personnel Changes within WeylChem Group Marketing
Torrey Adams has decided to pursue his career outside of WeylChem US. We want to thank Torrey for the work he did in our organisation and wish him all the best for his future career. Gary Pasek will assume additional sales and marketing responsibilities and will represent WeylChem effective June 1, 2012 at the majority of Torrey’s customers. The remainder of Torrey’s sales and marketing responsibilities will be handled by Bryon Leggett.
WeylChem in Europe is glad to announce that of May 1st 2012 Cédric Klumpp has joined our team as Marketing Manager for Custom Manufacturing. Cédric is French national and lives in Frankfurt, Germany. He has a PhD in chemistry from the University of Strasbourg (2006) and a Master degree from the same University in Innovative Project Management (2007). He worked at PPC 18 months between 2007 and 2008 as Junior Marketing Manager Fine Chemicals.

Philippe Robin promoted to General Director
Effective November 22nd 2011,
Philippe Robin has been promoted to General Director of PPC SAS in Thann, reporting to Tomás Hainich, President of PPC SAS.
Philippe, who joined PPC in September 2009, is in charge of Production, Supply Chain and Human Resources.
Marie-Laure Vallée, Director Marketing & Sales and Pascal Rouhaud, Director Finance, continue reporting to the President of PPC SAS.
Jeffrey Dugger joins WeylChem US Inc. as Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Jeff Dugger has joined WeylChem US Inc. in Elgin, South Carolina as Chief Operating Officer (COO) reporting to Tomas Hainich, President of the WeylChem Group.
Prior to coming to WeylChem US Inc, Jeff’s chemical industry career included several progressive leadership roles with Albright and Wilson, Rhodia and Albemarle.
With Mr. Dugger joining the WeylChem US Inc team, Gary Henderson will continue in his role as Chief Financial Officer.
Umstrukturierung bei WeylChem in Frankfurt
Am 20.09. wurde in einer Betriebsversammlung ein Restrukturierungskonzept für die WeylChem Standorte in Frankfurt Höchst und Frankfurt Griesheim vorgestellt. Dazu wurde von den Betriebsparteien ein Sozialplan verhandelt und unterzeichnet. Dieser beinhaltet den Abbau von insgesamt 48 Arbeitsplätzen von ursprünglich 262 auf zukünftig 214. Die Implementierung dieses Sozialplans wird sich bis in Q. 3 / 2012 ziehen. Durch die Umsetzung wird die WeylChem ein Unternehmen mit flacherer Hierarchie und Fokus auf die Kernprozesse.
Die Umstrukturierung am Standort Frankfurt wurde erforderlich, da ein Umsatzrückgang von > 25 % überwiegend aus Geschäften mit Exklusivprodukten in den Agrochemikaliensektor in 2010 und 2011 zu einem stark negativen Ergebnis geführt hatte. Um ein attraktiver Anbieter für diesen Sektor zu bleiben, müssen die personal und infrastrukturbedingten Fixkosten signifikant gesenkt werden.
Mit der Betriebsversammlung wurde der Startschuß zu einer Umstrukturierung gegeben, um für die WeylChem in Frankfurt in 2012 ein ausgeglichenes Ergebnis zu erreichen und für die Folgejahre in die Gewinnzone zu steuern. Damit wird laut T. Hainich, Präsident der WeylChem Gruppe, vor allem das Potential des Standortes in Griesheim voll ausgeschöpft um nachhaltig ein wichtiger Baustein im WeylChem Verbund zu bleiben.
