Site Frankfurt Griesheim

1856  The „Frankfurter AG for agrochmichal products“ founded in Griesheim.
1952  This site was combined with Farbwerke Hoechst (later Hoechst AG)
1991  The carbon business ended up in SGL Carbon
1997  Specialty FineChemical business went to Swiss based Clariant AG
2001  Clariant divested three Griesheim production units to Allessa Chemie
2003  Griesheim Industry Park was founded (IPG).
2007  The remaining Clariant SFC business was sold to ICIG investors and was integrated in WeylChem Group.



Site Frankfurt Hoechst

1862  Chemische Fabrik Meister Lucius & Co. takes up operation west of Hoechst
1883  The first drug manufacturing started at this site
1910  Another pharmaceutical milestone: Paul Ehrlich developed Salvarsan highly effective for the treatment of syphilis.
1925  The factory was fused to form IG Farbenindustrie AG, which was dissolved by Alllied Forces in 1945.
1951  Establishment of Farbwerke Hoechst AG
1997  The industry park Höchst is opened to non-Hoechst companies.
Hoechst AG sold its Specialty FineChemical business to Clariant AG.
2007  The Hoechst based plants VP3 (side chain chlorination) and
VP 5 (oxidation) was sold to ICIG investors and was integrated in WeylChem Group.
